Nirvana Ortanez (Borland) is a marketing professional with deep roots in her background as a digital creator, a former professional snowboarder, and a leader in the creation of meaningful and authentic brand experiences within the outdoor and action sports industry.

Transitioning from her role as a photographer and filmmaker for snowboard projects, Nirvana has shifted to the other side of the lens. She not only produces content across various categories but also caters to brand activations surrounding product campaigns. She attended the University of Utah, majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Factors + Ergonomics, and minoring in Documentary Studies.

Nirvana's upbringing in San Diego, California, revolved around surfing, which eventually evolved into her career in snowboarding. As a co-founder of Soy Sauce Nation, a snowboarding affinity group, she advocates for diversity within the snowboarding community and beyond, with a goal to make outdoor activities equitable, welcoming, and accessible for all.
